Vermont has become the first continental U.S. state to appoint a Cartoonist Laureate, and it's James Kochalka. Kochalka's work has always brilliantly evoked his Vermont location, making it completely appropriate that on March 10th the state will officially name him Cartoonist Laureate. James Kochalka is documenting people who have drawn similarities between a scene in the new Hulk movie and his landmark "Hulk vs. the Rain" story.I haven't seen the film and don't plan to, but taking a page from Kochalka's book would have to be a better idea than following the template of the first Hulk movie.

Rykodisc has announced they will release the first CD of new James Kochalka Superstar material in quite a few years this August 29th.
